Investment Approach
We maintain a set of stringent criteria for selecting portfolio companies. While not all of these criteria need be satisfied in any instance, they form the basis for investment decisions:
- A portfolio company must have plans to develop products that address major life science markets.
- A portfolio company must have clearly differentiated technology that is world-class. The technology must be protected by patent.
- Although many start-up companies will not have high-caliber management in place, it is imperative that the founders appreciate the importance of skilled managers. MVM assists companies in recruiting talented managers with the appropriate skills.
